We were alerted to a deceased cat along Richmond Road in Gillingham. We attended to check for a chip.
It became quickly apparent that the cat did not die from natural causes. Parts of the cat were missing and look to have been cut off with a sharp instrument. Unfortunately decomposition and predation has also occurred. The cat was all black and judging by teeth age alone looked around 5 years old. Unfortunately we cannot determine the sex of the cat as this part is missing.
All relevant authorities have been informed.
