Getting Catty Home

We received a call from a lovely lady who said she had come across a cat who appeared quite distressed outside her property in Gillingham. She left the cat and went out in the hope the cat was just a pickle and would leave, unfortunately the cat was still there when she got back and was still crying from inside a bush.

We attended to chip check and she was chipped, her name on the chip was Bailey. We rang both phone numbers on the chip with no reply, so we placed Bailey in a cat basket and proceeded to door knock.

There was no answer at the door, so we left a card to get them to call.

We brought Bailey back to HQ and settled her in. Within a few hours we received a phone call from a very worried owner who had presumed the worst. We explained even though her baby was 18 years of age she was in amazing health albeit a little confused. We have come to the conclusion that she had followed her owner outside last night and lost her way back home, she wasn’t far away but at least she had the sense to hide in a bush and find a lovely lady to help.

Bailey who is actually called Catty was rehomed by the couple from Leybourne RSPCA around 16 years ago. She is such an adorable girl.

Stay safe gorgeous girl!
