We saw a post on Facebook this evening about a cat that was seen deceased along Rushenden Road in Sheerness. We explained we could attend and check for a chip.
Because it was after 11pm traffic was quiet and we managed to get there relatively quickly. We found the cat and checked for a chip, he was chipped and his name was Gizmo, a gorgeous black and white, semi longhaired boy. It was apparent he had been involved in an RTA.
We picked him up, gave him a kiss and cuddle and proceeded to drive to the address on the chip which was just around the corner to see if there were any lights on. It was nearing midnight and we weren’t sure if we should knock, however we would want to know what happened to our baby no matter what time of day it was so we knocked.
The owner had been sitting up waiting for Gizmo to come home and had been out calling him as she gets all her babies in at night and Gizmo unfortunately never returned.
Gizmo is now with his family so they can say goodbye and he can be laid to rest.
Rest in paws heaven little darling boy xxxxx
We would like to thank Anna for reporting Gizmo, without her reporting we wouldn’t have been able to get him home x
