Getting Blue Home

We were alerted to a deceased Ginger cat on Church Street in Gillingham, one of our volunteers (Abigail Newman) attended and checked for a chip. The phone number on the chip was rang but no answer. Abigail then brought the baby Blue to HQ.

We waited for some time, did our usual checks and rang the number again, a lovely man answered the phone. He said that the name on the chip, the address and the phone number was all correct but he had never owned a cat called Blue in his lifetime. As we sat puzzling with him his wife realised who Blue was, he belonged to their daughter.

The daughter was absolutely distraught by the news of Blue’s passing and needed some time to get her head around what had happened.

This evening Blue’s owner came to HQ for some much needed cuddles with her boy and to say goodbye.

Our thoughts are with her and her family at this sad time.

Rest in paws heaven beautiful boy Blue xxxx
