Getting Princa Home

A post went up on Friday about a black cat in Chatham. The cat was wearing and RSPCA paper collar as apparently somebody had been out and placed the paper collar on the cat. The person who put up the post wondered if the cat could be scanned at some point.
We thought that RSPCA would have scanned. When the paper collar went missing we decided to pop round and scan the cat just in case.

Surprise surprise the cat was chipped but unfortunately the owner had moved from London and not changed the address.
There was a mobile number which was not answered at the first time of ringing so we sent a text message and left an answer phone message asking the owner to contact us.
The cat was apparently only five minutes walk away from where he had been lost. The owner had a cat carrier and was able to go round and pick Princa up.

The power of the chip!

Not for profit animal welfare organisation.
