Getting Matilda Home

We received an inbox message from a lady called Kirsty and a text message from a lady called Jan. They both explained that there was a very young cat that wandered into an elderly couples home. They said the cat was really friendly and very hungry when she arrived.

We explained we could check the cat for a chip and arranged to attend today. We checked the cat for a chip but no chip was found, our hearts sank as we know full well how hard it can be to find an owner with no microchip.

We took the cats photo and placed a plea on our facebook group to see if anyone recognised the cat.

To our surprise, within 3 hours a lady called Claire posted a photo of a poster on our group that she had seen on a lamppost. She quickly ran to the address that was on the poster and knocked on the owners door to alert them.

The likeness was uncanny! The owner then joined our facebook group and gave a phone number for us to call. She was their missing Matilda!

We quickly rang the finders to let them know that her owners had been found, they were elated. So we collected Matilda from The Esplanade in Rochester and drove the 3 miles she had travelled to take her home.

The whole family were over the moon that their baby had returned, even their dog greeted her with a waggy bum 😍

Stay safe little one xxxx
