Getting Lola Home

We received a phone call this evening about a cat that was involved in an RTA and hadn’t survived on Cobham Rise in Gillingham. We attended as soon as we could and checked the cat for a chip, she was chipped and her name was Lola. She was a stunning tabby and white 1 year old girl.

We rang all of the phone numbers on the chip and managed to get a hold of the owner. They were devastated by the news of her passing. We explained that we could bring her home to be with them.

Once we took her home the owner explained that they had another cat, so we layed Lola down and all sat with her so Lolas’s sister could say her goodbyes herself.

Rest in paws heaven beautiful girl xxxx

We would like to say a massive thank you to the community of Cobham Rise this evening. Not for only alerting us to Lola, but for moving her to safety, covering her with a towel, cleaning the street and knocking on doors to try and locate an owner. It’s so lovely to see a community coming together to help one another.

Not for profit animal welfare organisation.
