Getting Lucky Home

One of our volunteers was sent a message about a deceased cat that was found on North Dane Way this morning. Shortly after a report went up on a facebook group about the same cat. We attended as soon as we could and managed to find the cat. Someone had moved the cat onto a grass verge and covered the cat over.

We checked for a chip, and she was chipped, her name was Lucky. She was a beautiful 3 year old black and white cat with a pink collar. We rang and text the number on the database but received no answer so decided to go door knocking. After a couple of knocks a lady answered from a bedroom window, we explained what had happened. She wanted Lucky back home so we collected her from the car, gave her another kiss and cuddle and walked back to the owners address.

The lady wanted Lucky buried in her garden but was unable to due to her having hurt her back. We explained that we could help, to show us where she would like her placed and to borrow a spade. Lucky was buried with respect, love and dignity.

The owner has sent us photos of Lucky, what a beautiful girl she was.

Rest in paws heaven little darling girl xx
