Getting Nelson Home

We were tagged on a Facebook group about a dog that was running around on a main road in Hoo this evening. We attended as soon as we could. A lovely family had taken the dog into their house and gave him some water.

We checked him for a chip and he was chipped, his name was Nelson, a lovely spaniel who was 13 years old!

We tried to ring the phone number on the chip but the line was dead, so we decided to go door knocking. As we were driving down the road we noticed a lady walking around looking a little lost, so we stopped and asked her if she had lost a dog. She replied yes! She said his name was Nelson, so we pointed into the back of the car for her to see Nelson all curled up half asleep in the back of the car.

The details on the chip were not up to date, however we have explained just how lucky she was that we saw her and how lucky Nelson was that he wasn’t struck by a vehicle as he is partially blind and deaf love him.  The owner will be updating his chip details as soon as physically possible

Stay safe Sir Nelson xxxx
