Getting Dave Home

One of our family members had found a deceased cat along Long Catlis Road on the 23rd of this month, she wrapped him up in her cardigan and brought him home with her. We checked him for a chip and found that his name was Dave, a stunning black British shorthair. He had been involved in a road traffic accident.

We tried to call the number on the chip with no joy and also knocked on the door at the address on the chip with no luck. We then done some further research and found the owner on Facebook with a photo on her profile of a cat that matched the description of Dave.

We sent a message in the hope that they replied soon. Another 24 hours went by and we got a call from a very worried lady asking why we wanted to speak to her about her cat Dave. We went on to explain what had happened to him and she broke down.

Dave and his brother both lived with the owner and they were quite close, so we took Dave home and let his brother and owner say their goodbyes in their own way. Dave will be buried in the owners new house when they move so he will forever be with them.
