Getting Sydney Home

A post went up on our facebook group about a deceased cat that was found on Cooling Road in Strood this morning, we also received a text message about the same cat  A lovely family had moved the cat to their property so the cat was safe from any more harms way. We attended as soon as we could to check for a chip, she was chipped and her name was Sydney. We checked over all of the details on the database and she was registered to an address in Deal. We tried to call the number on the chip but the phone number was disconnected. We explained to the finders that we would do our best to try and find her home, however we had to set off to trap a feral injured cat in Dartford. We kept Sydney safe with us and went on our way to trap the feral in Dartford. We then placed a post on our group to try and locate an owner until we could do more digging later on.

Within a couple of hours we received a text message from the owners of Sydney, we explained we could bring her home. Thankfully we had caught the feral cat in Dartford and could leave immediately to take her home.

As we were reuniting her, her owners had explained that she used to live with their neighbour for some time and eventually she ended up living with them and staying with them after the neighbour had moved address. They had been caring for her for over 5 years and loved her dearly, she will be missed by the whole family.
