Reuniting Charlie

We were tagged on a Facebook group about a cat that had been found deceased in Sittingbourne this evening.

We attended as soon as we possibly could.  We noticed the community trying their best to help as the cat was down an alleyway and in a very awkward place,  so one lady retrieved the cat and held the cat for us so we do a chip check.

As we arrived there were two woman standing there,  one was the lady who retrieved the cat and the other was a lady who suspected the cat might be her boy.  With the initial finding of the cat they thought the cat had been shot with a pellet gun,  but that was not the case as the cat had been there for approximately 2-3 weeks and decomposition had set in.

We then checked the cat for a chip and we found a chip.  Unfortunately it was the ladies cat Charlie who had been missing for some time.  We all tried our best not to let the owner see the cat as this would have been too distressing for her.

Charlie is now at peace with his family and will be taken to the vets tomorrow.
