Getting Gizmo Home

We were alerted to a deceased cat that was found near the King Charles Hotel in Gillingham.  We left immediately to try and find the cat.

We finally found the cat and checked him for a chip,  he was chipped and his name was Gizmo.  We wrapped him up in a clean towel,  gave him a kiss and cuddle and placed him safely in our car to get him away from the elements.

We then continued to call the phone number on the chip,  but there was no answer,  so we tried to knock at the address on the chip,  again with no answer there either.

We tried to call throughout the day to try and get in touch with Gizmos keepers and eventually hours later we managed to get a hold of someone.  A little girl answered the phone, our hearts sank and so we asked if we could speak to her parents.  She put her dad on the phone and we explained what had happened to Gizmo and that we could bring him home so they could say goodbye.

Although the owner of Gizmo was clearly upset he couldn’t thank us enough for taking care of him and bringing him home so the family could say goodbye.
