Getting Cat Home

We received a phone call about a black and white cat that followed an elderly woman across Rainham recreational grounds this afternoon.  The cat wouldn’t leave her alone and was acting as if she was lost.  We asked the man that called to contain the cat, he explained that he couldn’t as he had no way of containing the cat where he was,  but he said he would work something out and get back to us.

Within a few minutes we received a second call,  but from someone else explaining that he was given a cat to contain and our number to call to help.

We attended as soon as we could to check for a chip,  but we couldn’t find one.  So we placed a quick release collar on the cat with a barrel that had our details inside and we instructed the finders to release the cat as she was very well cared for, to which they did.

We placed a post on our Facebook page and group for her and within a few hours we had a few messages explaining that they knew who the owner was,  then the owner inboxes us with proof of ownership.

We tried to get in touch with the finder to see if she was still hanging around,  we then headed over to where she was last seen but we couldn’t see her.  The finder got back in touch with us and said they had her safe,  woohooo!

We then went back,  picked her up and took her back home.  The keepers of Cat will be getting her microchipped as soon as they possibly can.
