Getting Pumpkin Home

We were tagged on a Facebook post about a cat that had been involved in a road traffic accident in Sittingbourne late last night.  We offered a chip check but it was too late in the night and there was no response.

This morning we received correspondence about where the cat was being held and looked after and so we gave our phone number to one of the finders so we could attend.  Within minutes we received a call and attended as soon as we possibly could.

We checked the cat for a chip and he was chipped,  his name was Pumpkin,  a ginger and white young boy.  We tried to call the number on the chip with no success,  so we wrapped Pumpkin up in a clean towel,  gave him a kiss and cuddle and placed him in our car to try the last known address on the chip database.

When we arrived there were no cars on the drive and no answer at the door,  so we knocked a few neighbours incase they had further contact details for who lived at the address.  As we were speaking to one neighbour,  a car pulled up to the house,  so we explained to the woman why we were there.  Pumpkin was indeed her cat and he wasn’t registered as lost.

Pumpkin was reunited with his family within the hour.
