*** Getting Daisy Safe ***

We were tagged on a Facebook post about a very loving cat that had been hanging around Oxford Road in Gillingham.  The cat was circling around a woman’s property crying day and night.  We arranged with the finder to check the cat for a chip.

We found that she was chipped,  her name was Daisy and the last known address was in Dartford.  The phone number on the database was also discontinued,  so we explained to the finder that it was going to take some detective work to find out who her owner is.  The finder was happy to try and keep Daisy Safe with her for the time being.

After around 1 week of digging,  Googling,  ringing around and searching we had exhausted every avenue we could.  We then recieved an inbox from a friend saying she did a search and came up with a name on Facebook that wasn’t there the previous week.  She messaged the man and it was indeed his cat Daisy.

Unfortunately he was not able to take her back as his circumstances had changed dramatically,  so he asked if she could be placed into rescue.  We explained the situation to the finder of the cat and went and picked her up.

We sorted a room for her at our house until we found a rescue space for her. Anim-Mates Rescue were happy to help and we took her to the vets this morning  for a spey and first vaccinations ready to be rehomed when she is ready.
